World-savvy food experts coming to area April 11

Whole Foods Market’s Tempe store will host The Border Girls, a pair of globe-hopping food experts, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 11.

The program features simple, quick ideas and innovative, effortless ways to spice up meals.

Nine original recipes are featured, from Alaskan seafood and California avocados to Valrhona chocolate. Guests also will be able to try some of the variety of salsas, soups, marinades and other restaurant-quality foods available at Whole Foods.

The Border Girls presenters, classically trained chefs Mary Sue Milliken and Susan Feniger, are the hands-on owners of the popular Border Grill restaurants in southern California and Nevada.
