Volunteer positions available for June, July

Kyrene Corridor teens who are looking for something to do this summer have the opportunity to do something fun and worthwhile for their community by volunteering for the city of Tempe.

Tempe has a wide variety of volunteer positions available during the months of June and July. A complete listing and application are available by calling (480) 350-5190.

Opportunities include working with children as an instructor’s assistant, a junior lifeguard or a buddy reader.

Volunteers can also work with the mentally and physically challenged in the Buddy Bowling and Camp Challenge programs.

In addition, a variety of positions are available at the Tempe Public Library and Tempe Historical Museum.

Volunteering offers teens many benefits, including gaining work-like experience, building a record of community service, learning new skills and meeting new people.
