Tempe Boy Scout Troop 75, comprised of
Kyrene Corridor teens, is proud of seven
new Eagle Scouts.
Sponsored by local Knights of Columbus
since 1990, the group now has 57 members
who have attained scouting’s highest
rank.
Three of the newest designees attend
Corona del Sol High School; two attend
Mountain Pointe; one attends Marcos de
Niza and one attends Scottsdale
Community College.
Each boy had a special Eagle Scout
project that benefited the community.
The Court of Honor proclaiming
achievement of the Scouts’ new rank was
held at Arizona Community Church.
A highlight of the ceremony included a
talk and presentation of special glass
Eagle Scout awards from former Arizona
Gov. Rose Mofford.
Honored were, from left, standing, David
Parkhurst, Kevin Welty, Matt Cernik,
Andrew Acker; sitting, Trey Shank, J.D.
