Newest area Rotary Club continues to grow

Rotary International’s newest provisional club continues to take shape in the Kyrene Corridor, with two meetings already completed and six applications for charter membership already submitted.

Meetings so far have focused on acquainting prospective members with the role of Rotary Clubs in community, national and international service programs, which range from helping create facilities for local children to providing vital necessities for families in impoverished countries around the world.

Barb Feder, a past Rotary district governor and owner of The Framin’ Works at Warner and McClintock roads, traced the club’s history and discussed how Rotary has become a worldwide catalyst for change.

The club meets at noon Mondays at the Edward Jones Training Center in ASU Research Park. It will be formally chartered when membership reaches 20.
