Moms to be feted at Arizona Community Church

Mothers will be honored on Saturday, May 11 at the annual “Garden Tea Time” and on Sunday May 12 in two morning services at the Arizona Community Church, 9325 S. Rural Road.

“You are God’s Garden” is the theme of the 1 and 3:30 p.m. tea for mothers, daughters, grandmothers, sisters and friends. A Mother/Daughter fashion show and music by the Stoneback Triples and their mother will follow.

Mother’s Day services are at 9 and 10:30 a.m. and offers the opportunity for families to honor Mom by sitting together. A beautiful gift will be given to every mother present.

The services will feature the leadership of the wives of ACC’s senior pastors, Martha Davidson, women’s director of the church and her associate director, Kathy Meyer.

Linda Turkjewicz, the children’s director at ACC, will share the story of her life entitled “My story, Cries, Challenge, Christ”. Aimed to inspire the entire family, Turkjewicz discusses her bout with polio, a disabling accident, a divorce and how she found the faith to raise her children and to rise above the challenging circumstances of life, family and ministry from a wheelchair.
