Cheer up!
It’s coming soon, and you won’t mind us saying there’s plenty to cheer about.
Corona del Sol High School’s annual cheer kids camp is scheduled July 19 through 23, but you have only until May 28 to pre-register and receive a free camp T-shirt. Shirts will still be available after the cutoff date, but at a cost of $10.
The camp is a traditional fund raiser for the school’s three cheer squads, comprised of freshman, junior varsity and varsity members.
Participating camp members will learn chants, cheers and new dances, as well as have an opportunity to meet new people and have “tons of fun,” says coach Maria Vaughn.
Camp sessions run from 1 to 4 p.m., culminating with an exhibition to which parents and friends are invited.
Participation, which is open to kids between 4 and 13 years old, costs $65.
Registration forms can be obtained by contacting the coach in person or online at mvaughn.dds@tuhsd.k12.az.us.
