Chandler voters to select mayor, council members

Like its Tempe neighbors, Chandler will hold a primary election Tuesday, March 9, to choose a new mayor and three City Council members.

Candidates failing to achieve a majority of votes will face a run-off election May 11.

Running for mayor are incumbent Boyd Dunn and challenger John Conley.

Seeking City Council seats are incumbents Dean Anderson and Lowell Huggins, along with challengers Bobby Joe Harris, Dale Mukavetz, Matt Orlando and Martin Sepulveda.

Final day for Chandler residents to register to vote in the primary will be Monday, Feb. 9. Early voting began Feb. 5 and continues through March 5. The last day to request a mail-in ballot is Feb. 27.
