Jaguar individual wrestling champions
Aprende Middle School
won the second-place plaque at the
2006/07 KAP Wrestling Meet held Jan. 20
at Corona del Sol High School. The
Jaguars were led by four individual
champions.
Patrick Buck
is in sixth grade, finishing with a dual
meet record of nine wins and three
losses in his first year in the Aprende
wrestling program. He won the 2006/07
individual title at 95 pounds.
Jason Landrum
is in seventh grade, finishing with a
dual meet record of 10 wins and no
losses in his first year in the program.
He won the 2006/07 individual title at
90 pounds.
Ben Nelson
is in seventh grade, finishing with a
dual meet record of nine wins and three
losses. This was his second year in the
Aprende program. (He placed fourth at 70
pounds as a sixth grader). He won the
2006/07 individual title at 85 pounds.
Izaak Quintero is in eighth grade, finishing with a dual meet record of 12 wins and no
losses. This was Izaak’s third year in
the wrestling program. (He placed second
at 120 pounds as a seventh grader). He
won the 2006/07 individual title at 155
pounds.
