Dignitaries from the city of Tempe and Arizona Theatre Company raised the curtain on a newly unveiled collaboration to bring top quality performances to Tempe Center for the Arts.
The partnership was celebrated by Mayor Corey Woods and Vice Mayor Jennifer Adams, along with ATC Executive Director Geri Wright, Artistic Director Matt August and others.
A ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the historic, 5-year agreement designed to bring the state’s preeminent professional regional theater to the architecturally acclaimed lakefront venue just west of Mill Avenue.
ATC has said it will present nearly 80 performances and attract a subscriber base of more than 2,000 to upcoming shows, with a projected attendance of 40,000 during the current 5-show season.
