Three West Chandler intersections are among five locations where red light and excessive-speed camera tests are underway.
Passing motorists may see a flash of light but can breathe a sigh of relief — at least for now: The cameras are going through a calibration and setup process through May 22.
Beginning May 23, however, speed demons and red-light runners will receive warnings in their mailbox.
The mailings will inform recipients that photo radar cameras at the designated intersections captured them in a speed or red light violation. Motorists take note: On June 20, the warnings will cease and citations will be issued for both speeding and red light violations.
The West Chandler locations include Chandler Boulevard and Kyrene; McClintock Drive and Ray Road; and Chandler Boulevard and Dobson.
