Chandler’s network of public libraries, including the Sunset branch on the city’s west side, have attached a new name to their free online offerings for adults—Gale Courses.
Previously known as Learn4Life, the Gale Courses program provides patrons who hold a valid library card access to hundreds of instructor-led online courses on a variety of topics related to career education, college readiness and personal development.
Library Director Brenda Brown says the courses offer well-crafted lessons, expert online instruction and interaction with fellow students that are accessible anywhere online, 24/7.
Other benefits, she says, include:
• They’re free for patrons interested in any discipline
• They’re easy to use; you use your library account to sign up and log in.
• With six-week courses, you can join programs year-round.
Said Brown:
“Part of our mission is to inspire and engage lifelong learning in our community. With Gale Courses, our customers will be able to enroll in courses covering all types of topics and subjects.
“Whether someone is considering going back to school and wants to explore different fields or just interested in digital photography, the course catalog offers something for everyone.”
Users can gain valuable knowledge that they can immediately apply to life or on the job. There’s definitely something for everyone:
