By Jonathan J. Cooper |
Superintendent Maria Menconi may be
leaving the Kyrene School District at
the end of June, but she won't soon
depart from the hearts and minds of many
of Kyrene’s teachers and administrators. |

Kerry
Fetherston isn't eligible to compete in

Don’t see Poseidon if you plan on
spending time on a holiday cruise ship
this summer. That would be like
watching United 93 just
before your next flight. Both films
underscore the horror of being a
captured audience when things go very
bad. |

The school year has been winding down
lately, and along the way the thoughts
of many turned to senior prom, that
event which invariably provides the
social climax to the epic of the high
school experience—in the movies, at
least.

Communication between the sexes is a

Scott Agnew hasn’t actually gone out and
sold a house in about five years, he
admits, but he is one of the most
successful Realtors in Arizona. And now
Utah, for that matter. |

Although my grandmother’s
favorite color is blue, I often
associate her with yellow.
Her birthday is May 25,
which is always around the time that the
first yellow blossoms appear on the wild
rose hedge in her driveway.
She’s also very fond of
lemon: whether in birthday cakes with
lemon filling, lemon meringue pies or
lemon curd.
