Fetherston isn't eligible to compete in
the Arizona Senior Olympics. Too young.
But the Kyrene Corridor resident,
businesswoman, marathoner and bicyclist

good about it. No complicated story line
(Narnia comes to mind), no

villains, and no sorcery. Instead, we
accompany a motley crew of Ice Age
mammals, full of wit and humor, on their
way to find a safe haven from the
impending Ice Age meltdown. |

For Easter this year, you may want to
enjoy one of the few movies in which the
hero is a chick—a chick, that is, in the
literal sense: a little chicken. The
movie is Disney’s computer-animated
comedy Chicken Little, fresh out
on DVD.

Corona
del Sol’s varsity tennis team continues
to sweep through opponents on its way to
a 9-1 record, and a top three ranking in
state. The hard work that the team
members have put in has paid off more
than they could even imagine. |

If your
bumper sticker proudly states “My Other
Car is the Starship Enterprise”, you may
already know Jacqueline Lichtenberg, a
Chandler resident whose life has been
heavily intertwined with the original
iconoclastic Star Trek TV show. |

Despite a year of intense discussion and
debate about the future direction of the
Kyrene School District, focus groups
scheduled to solicit community input
into the district’s next superintendent
were sparsely attended. |

A house of worship divided
|
Its parking lot almost empty, St. James the Apostle Episcopal Church on east Warner Road seems inordinately quiet on an overcast Monday morning, the day after Christianity’s biggest celebration. But the post-Easter calm belies St. James’ role in a worldwide shakeup within the Anglican Church. |
